It’s already been a whole week.

Last week my class and I were at the Gothenburg International Film Festival (GIFF). The first movie we saw was a danish movie called Men and Chicken, Mads Mikkelsen was in it. It’s definitely not a movie for everyone, but I really enjoyed it. After that we saw 6 short films, and at 4pm we were at a mingle with Film in Halland.

I wish we would have had the chance to stay longer and seen more films, but I’ll have to save that for next year.

Here’s the preview for men and chicken for those interested:

I go to an acting school in southern Sweden called Katrinebergs. It’s a high intensity 2 year program where we explore different acting techniques and even work with the film class to get experience with on screen acting as well.

I started in August last year, and it’s been a great experience so far. Right now we’re working on our final play for the year. It’s going to be about 2 hrs long, and as a happy coincidence I got the lead female role in it, which feels pretty great. But it’s also a lot of work and a whole lot of lines. But hopefully it goes well.

This week we have a kind of independent study week. So I’ve looked over the script and the scenes we’re going to work on next week a few times and searched for summer jobs. Let’s hope I get something! Or that I win a couple million. I could go for that too.

Yesterday I got my package from Ikea, so we finally got a shoe rack and got the knives up on the wall. Only thing left now is some lamps and curtains.

Bara spaaa

Last weekend Joel and I spent our Saturday at Falkenbergs Strandhotel, we chilled in the pool, sauna, ate a two course dinner (which was interrupted by the fire alarm), and then sat by the lobby bar talking to strangers and drinking, because that’s what we do. On Sunday we got to experience the IVORY spa package, you can see the details and what’s included here. I highly recommend it!
All in all a great weekend, and a great christmas present to us both.
